Following the Government's announcement that Pubs and Restaurants can re-open their doors The Fox and Hounds are pleased to let you know that we intend to re-open on Saturday 4th July at 12 noon. We have been working hard planning how we do this safely and would like to share with you our plans. If you know prior to your visit to us how things will be different under the new social distancing guidelines we hope you will be better prepared.
For those of you who have visited us before you will appreciate that we are only a small pub with limited indoor space. This makes any service indoors a challenge although with the reduction in the 2 metre distancing rule we feel that we can provide some service inside the pub.
Initially when we open we won't be using our inside bar space at lunchtimes.
For the first weekend we will accept indoor food bookings for the evenings only, if there is space we will also accept 'walk ins' in an evening but we can't promise that we will be able to accommodate everyone.
Outdoors, as long as the weather is kind to us we have a marquee that is open to all. The tables here are on a first come first served basis and again due to social distancing constraints tables are limited. Other tables and seating are located in the car park area again adhering to social distancing guideline. Please don't move tables around as these have been set out in a specific manner.
Please note that our car park will be closed to everyone except residents.
We are posting notices in our outdoor areas with information on how we will be working to best serve you and how you can help us by following the Government's recommended guidelines whilst you are with us. It is important that you take a few minutes to read and understand these when you first visit us.
Thank you for your understanding while we all move into the new normal for the foreseeable future.
